The last few posts are refering to dvdavenue.tv NOT dvdavenue.com. DVDAVENUE.COM is a dvd rental site. DVDAVENUE.TV which also goes by dvddonkey.com and several other names is not a legitimate site. The posts referring to movie sets PURCHASED should be deleted as they refer to a different company.
DVDAVENUE.COM is a legitimate dvd RENTAL (not sales) site, with wonderful customer service and a good reputation. |

Too bad there isn't a category for negative points...Like the others posters before me, this company has been a nightmare! I ordered a set of movies on 122907. Today is 2908 and my order is nowhere to be found. I have tried to call repeatedly and nobody ever answers the phone. I have left voice messages and have never received a call back. I have emailed them 3 times and even threatened them w legal action, but still nothing...I assume this is a legitmate company?? I'm of the mindset that I threw away my money and will never see what I ordered..By the way, I could walk from PA to Maryland faster than this!! I'm more upset about the fact that nobody seems to care. They are only movies. If there is a delay, I'm not THAT upset aobut it. I just want somebody to let me know what is going on so I don't feel like I threw my money away...This company is a disgrace and an emabarassment and I will NEVER order from them again!!! |

This is a bogus company. What a mistake!!! Nobody answers calls, returns calls or answers email. I am reporting the company to my credit card company as a fraudulent business. My rating is less than 0 and my experience is less than that! Stay away from this company!!!! |

I ordered a Scrubs DVD set in mid-November for Christmas delivery. The DVDs arrived a week after Christmas. Too late.
They never answer the phone and do not provide any customer support on line.
My experience with them was TERRIBLE. The DVDs were scratched and copied from TV complete with commercials at some points! I will NEVER use this service again!! This is a fraudulant company with no customer service and inferior merchandise.
Do not deal with these paople. This must be illegal.
Stay away!!!!!! |

Had the same experience as george. The DVDs were copied from VHS-Cassettes. The quality is terrible. Nobody answers to phone calls or emails. It has been hands-down my worst online-purchasing-experience since the beginning of my Internet-usage in 1994. If you don't want any troubles, stay away from them. In my opinion, they're a fraud-company and therefore illegal. |

Very happy with my experience with DVD Avenue. A little slower than Netflix for turnaround but very reasonable. If I returned a dvd early in the week I would have a new one for the weekend. Never had a problem with them following my queue order like what happens with intelliflix. Sometimes a high demand title would be skipped but I usually would get it soon enough. I recently switched to intelliflix because it was a little less expensive, but regret it. If DVDAvenue had a larger library and a lower cost plan it I would give it a 10. |

Movies arrive within 2 days and they send the next rental the same day they receive my return, unlike soem of the other services I've tried. |

I signed up with DVDAvenue after having so many problems with Intelliflix. I do live in Maryland and that may help but their turn around is as good or better then Netflix and Block Buster. I would highly recommend DVDAvenue. I find their web site a little unusual and not as easy to navigate. |

They have a decent film selection, although the adult and video game sections are not much to talk about.
I found the turnaround time to be very slow, but every film I wanted to see was available! I had no problem canceling when my free trial was completed.
Shipping is pretty slow but if you live in Maryland or near there it should not be that bad. Reccommended for those looking for a company that actually does what Intelliflix claims it can do.

IM CANCELLING DVD AVENUE THIS MONTH , LAST BUT NOT LEAST , IF YOU CANCEL , BUT THEY HAVENT GET THE DVD BACK , THEY WILL CHARGE YOU , EVEN IF YOU SEND THE DVD RIGHT AWAYA
SO MY ADVICE IS ,,, SEND BACK THE DVD , CLEAR YOUR SELECIONT , GIVE THEM A 4- 6 DAYS AND CANCEL |

I've tried several companies and dvdavenue comes out on top. They ship very quickly and I receive my dvd's in 1-2 days. They also carry adults which is a plus. |

This is a good DVD service. We've been a subscriber for about two years now. Once in a while they can be a bit slow but overall acceptable. One thing I don't like is a change they made a couple of months ago. You can no longer prioritize your selections with a numerical rating. They give you three priority categories but as best I can tell it has no bearing on which movies in your queue you will actually receive next. Too bad. So I'm shopping to see what else is out there. If they went back to a numerical priority (and actually follow it), they'd rate an 8 or 9. Hope they're listening. |

I've been using DVDAvenue for about two months and they are a joke. They have received my movies Thursday and it is now Monday evening and they STILL haven't shipped anything out. I have 30 movies in my queue so they cant say everything is out.
I wish they would say SOMETHING but they ignore my emails! I will be cancelling at the end of the billing cycle.

Blockbuster has a nice selection, but if ur into newly released hollywood flicks dont bother. I am on my one month trial with them so far movies come in 2-3 days exactly i have gotten about 11 movies in about 2 1/2 weeks, but i will have to cancel my subscription because the post office seems to love to open my blockbuster envelopes (since they r so easy to open) and check out the goodies. So far one dvd has been stolen by the post office. So till blockbuster makes a more secure envelope i'm going to check out other online places. |
