The worst company I think I've evr dealt with. NO response to emails to their customer service department in three weeks now. Nada, zip.Totally ignored me! Delivery extremely slow and sporadic, and apparently not enough copies of new releases. They keep trying to tell you to have 15-20 titles in your lsit. Yeah, right. All you'll get then are the older ones nobody else wants, and not the new releases you want. STAY AWAY! |

Exact same issues as everyone else here...they start out sending DVD's quickly - then slow down....then it takes forever and nothing shows up...you try over and over to email them and no response...no phone number...after being charged for 2 months and not receiving any DVD's I cancelled my service. Pinheads who are blowing a great oportunity to have a nice company. Dont waste your time! |

I had the same credit card problem. I was pretty happy with them. Then three months ago, the card they had on file expired. After a month of unreturned e-mails the problem with the card was fixed. They started charging my card again, but never resumed service. I wrote them a total of 10 e-mails, and then finally contacted the credit card company. The real problem is that they don't have a phone number and they make no attempt to compensate for this with on-line customer service. |

When I received discs from them the service was reasonably quick and I was pleased. BUT, when I had a problem with my credit card for one payment and service was suspended - fine, my fault, I forgot to notify them when I switched to a new card and cancelled the original one - it all went bad. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and I have not had any response from my *frequent* inquiries about the status of my account. I have not received a new disc even though I have returned all of the ones I had. My new credit card has already been billed. I am completely disappointed in their service from this company. ps. Try finding a contact phone number on their website. Impossible. What do you do when no one replies to your email? |

I'm cancelling my dvdflix membership. I sent my last selections back 5 weeks ago! That's right, I've kept being charged while receiving absolutely nothing new for 6 weeks. I've written them 5 emails to complain about this and no response. Even before this problem their turnaround time was awfull. I was waiting almost 2 weeks for new discs despite living about 15 minutes away from them! Avoid DVDFlix.ca at all costs. I wish Netflix would establish themselves in Canada and wipe all of these pretenders off the map. In the meantime I'll go with Zip. They have about 10 times the selection of dvdflix and people I've spoken to seem to be happier with them. |

Clear listing of recently new movies on the main page, and the fasted turnaround of any company I've tried for the Vancouver area.
I was with them for over a year before changing to another local company with a bigger selection. DVDFlix had the mainstream movies but was really short of TV series and highly-rated non-mainstream movies.

Same comments as others. Turn around time is acceptable to me. But not getting titles at the top of my list sucks. Especially new releases. I had Hitch at the top of my list and I have gotten 4 releases and still no Hitch.
They also never reply to my emails. Even around billing. I have been trying to find a phone number to call them with no luck yet.
So I don't know where the comment "exemplary service" comes from. Several friend have experienced similar things.
But I will say, they are still at the top of the list when you compare to what else is available. They all seem to share similar problems.

DVDs take one week to reach me in Toronto. I don't call that rural. If the delivery time were faster, I'd be much happier with dvdflix. |

I have been with DVDFlix for the past two years and have recieved service that can be described only as exemplary.
Turnaround times are small, and the customer service level has been top notch. I would recommend this company to anyone who likes their movies delivered in a prompt, efficient manner at affordable pricing. |

turnaround time was great until after the trial period was over... then it started to take over a week to get movies (even though I am 2 blocks away from their PO Box). THEN I started to get damaged & cracked discs. one of them said "apollo video", which means they're buying used dvds & renting them. waste of time |
mitta from Vancouver on 2005-05-04 Rates them:
DVD turnaround was great during trial period. Since I live in the Vancouver area, I was getting it the next day but since the trial is over, it has taken 3-4 days to process a returned DVD. They had not replied to any of my emails. So far had not been able to get new releases at all. All these problems seem to be common with all the online rental places I have read here. Is there any good company out there because it seems like a really excellent idea. |
