GameznFlix Review

GamezNFlix (or VeeGeez) is a relatively new game and dvd rental service. The site does look quite attractive, but the browsing system is still a bit dodgy and the site pretty slow on the occasions I've tested it. The search is ok, allowing you to search by movie/actor/director/year etc.

They claim to have a collosal 28,000 movies/games, but I doubt this. Bigger than netflix??? Well, they don't really have that many titles at hand, but can get ones that customers want but aren't in stock from their suppliers.

The good thing about gameznflix is that they also have a large selection of playstation, xbox and gamecube titles to rent (over 1200) and their rental package is pretty unique in allowing you to have a combination of 3 dvd/games for $17 - I like how they simplify this and don't baffle you with various combos and idiotic pricing structures.

Currently they have 2 distribution centres - California and Tennessee.

...BUT! Maybe a 3 star service is all you need??? OK, it's really not good. I believe they hired a high school dropout to implement their web site. Searching for a movie is a lousy experience. You search via a text box & a search button... THAT's ALL the CONTROL YOU GET! The Blu Ray selection is almost non-existent, Getting DVDs from TN to NJ takes them a full week most of the time. Still, for the price I do get both games and movies(duh)in one service. If they can make it & not go bankrupt they may turn into a great service ...eventually. (HOWEVER, THEY HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO!!!)
Josh from on 2008-06-08 Rates them:
I'd really like to give them a zero, but the lowest option was 1. DO NOT SIGN UP. This site is a scam. I"ve had my account for 3 months now and i"Ve never received anything, nothing. I've tried putting items in my que that are available, I've tried new games and movies, old games and movies. I've even tried to put the coming soon, still nothing. They never email you or give you any idea of how long a short wait is. Also, the website is very slow and choppy and the search is very buggy. This site is awful, would advise anyone thinking about signing up to go elsewhere, don't waste you're time or money. I got my membership as a birthday pesent and ny brother is out 3 months of membership fee's. Horrible company, 2 thumbs way down!!
Thomas from Los Angeles on 2008-06-05 Rates them:
One of the worst services i've ever paid for. First the wait time is ridiculous. It's simply not possible for the US mail to take this long. How can you return an item to them and have it take 1.5 weeks to get the item back. Receiving items from them is slow and painful. I don't see how anybody could give them over 5 stars. I would be suspicious in fact of anybody giving them over 5 stars as the quality of their service is undeniably bad. Good idea maybe blockbuster will get it right.
Jeremy from Illinois on 2008-05-18 Rates them:
I've been with gameznflix 2 years on the 6 at a time plan for one payment of $250. The first year was great, I received a good amount of the games I wanted, so I signed up for a 2nd year. ITS BEEN TERRIBLE. I've gotten like 4 rentals in 6 months. I currently have 1 checked out of my 6. My membership expires in July but I'm going to send in the game I do have and cancel it now. Pay a few extra bucks and sign up with gamefly. Thats the best I can tell you.
Adam from KY on 2008-05-09 Rates them:
I was given a 1 year subscription to this sham at christmas time as a gift. I have received 3 games, with close to 20 in the queue at all times. I have not received a single title since February 1st. It is now MAY 9th!! They do not respond to any email requests with anything other than, "you need to put more items in your queue" This company needs a class action suit brought against them to force them to refund all the subscriptions.
john from California, Los Angeles on 2008-04-21 Rates them:
Horrible! I've had it for a 1 and 1/2 months, with 16 items in my queue, some of which is in the "available" section, I've had a total of 3 games shipped. TOTAL. Not at a time, TOTAL in near 2 months. (I have the 3 out option) Complaints are put off, request for refund is answered with "against our policy". AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I signed up for another service, for 3 weeks I've had my 2 games in hand within a week, and within a few days after sending the last 1 back.
nate from pittsburgh on 2008-04-21 Rates them:
I have waited over 4 months and have gotten zero out of 10 games I picked from their ready to ship or short wait category. All they have done is steal about 60 dollars from me and render no services. It would be cheaper to just but your games and movies than get them from gameznflix.
Mike from Boston on 2008-04-17 Rates them:
The service was decent for awhile, however fairly recently it has gone down drastically. I've been waiting almost two weeks for them to send me a game. Although I've used their service for over a year, it's time I quit and go somewhere else.
Brian from california on 2008-04-16 Rates them:
These guys are awesome. I don't know what all this negative feedback is about. I can get games and DVDs. I've tried netflix, gamefly, and blockbuster also. These guys are the ones I like. They're sexy.
Greg from Southern California on 2008-04-11 Rates them:
Seriously thinking of starting class action lawsuit. These guys have no issues with taking your money and then not providing the service you pay for. They always claim to have some legitimate excuse for doing so; "All of the titles in your queue have a short wait or are in high demand. To ensure that we are always shipping new titles to you, please make sure you have at least 15 titles in your queue. Also, adding titles that do not have a wait will help keep titles shipping too.", etc. Even when you have over 50 titles in your queue, they still do not ship. WHen I canceled and asked for a refund, the reply was "At this time since you last billing I am showing you had outstanding titles and a title was shipped to you today. Since you have received service during your billing period no refund can be issued. To avoid further billing please close your account before next pay date", even though they had not shipped anything in over a month.
Greg from Idaho on 2008-03-28 Rates them:
Dont see how folks can give this anything above a 1 star, I read your comments and see you have the same issue I do, you dont get anything!! Why give them anything more than a 1 (I would go negative if I could) when you dont get any service.

I have been with them for about three years now and since July of 2007 it has been awful. I have 50 items on my list and the only thing I have gotten since July are xbox games and very old movies. I have not got a 360 game and I have every single one worth playing on my list.

The only reason I have not canceled is because I am not paying, they keep extending my bill date. I WONT pay a dime for this horrible service. I still get the same response when I ask for an update we are always adding to our inventory or something like that. Dont know what they are adding, 95% of their games show long wait and even the short waits never come (madden has been short wait since Aug).

DizzyD from Houston on 2008-03-10 Rates them:
Just closed my account!!! Started on 1/1/2008 and so far managed to play 1 game for a while... then waiting for 3 weeks for a 'short wait' title!!! Too sad!

Once I started my paid account I waited over 3 weeks to receive any of my 13 Wii games in queue. I canceled and I'm waiting for my refund. They had a good idea for a company, but clearly are not prepared.
Devin from Las Vegas on 2008-03-01 Rates them:
I'm thinking a class action law suit is nearly in order here, these guys started decent, but i haven't received a SINLE movie in 2 months, even though i've supposedly been put on the "VIP" list after complaining a couple times about it. Getting highly frustrated.
Joel from Indianapolis on 2008-02-27 Rates them:
Wish I could give them a negative rating. This service is a SHAM! I have been a GNF member since July of 07, and like everyone else, was getting good service in the beginning. Since then, they haven't been sending me any games, or the ones that they have sent have been so old it looks like Atari has made a comeback! The kicker is that lately they have been not marking games as returned. I have had to call (after the 10 business days) and inform them that the game had been returned. They mark it as returned, and send me new games if I am lucky. However, I was tired of this, so I cancelled my account a week ago. This was before my subscription renewal date, keep in mind. I told them that the latest list of games that they showed as outstanding had all been returned on the same day, and that I wanted to close my account. Said they had to take it to a supervisor, and they would call me later that day with a decision. 5 days later, had to call them back to find out what was going on. In the mean time, they charged me for another month of service, didn't show my games as returned, and never called me. I called 3 times in the day to try and talk to a supervisor, and was told everytime that I was going to get a return call from the supervisor. I never did. Finally had to call back the next day and the only reason I got her on the phone was because she answered. Otherwise, would have been given the run around again, I am sure. After talking to her, she informed me that she would check the warehouse for the games that I returned. I asked her what that meant, and she told me that if the games didn't appear in their warehouse that they wouldn't refund my monthly charge. FOR A MONTH'S SERVICE THAT I NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAD! I cancelled my account before the renewal date, and yet they went ahead and charged me. I informed her that this was illegal, and she told me that it was how they were going to handle it. I will be looking into possibly contacting my CC company and rejecting the charge, or even go so far as to contact the BBB where they are located.

Too bad, I used to really love the service. Now I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY! Unless of course you want to blow money on a service that is going to do everything it seems to screw their customers over.

I'm surprised at the negative ratings - I've been with Gameznflix for 2 years now and have had nothing but good service. Mail in on Monday and a new one by the weekend. Always something from my top 5 requests.

I have 61 items in my "Nqueue". I have been with them since Sept '07, and I have yet to see any of my first 20-30 selections. I always get the ones at the bottom, and the gamesmovies are quite old. They take the longest time checking media back in. I have multiple experiences where I will send one movie back on monday and the second one back wednesday, and when I check on my account friday..the one from wednesday will be checked in and the one from monday will still be "checked out". I think that they feel they can do this without fear that people will leave because of their inexpensive rates. They ALWAYS say they are working on expanding thier inventory. This is preposterous! You truly get what you pay for! Thank you for your time.
Danny from WI on 2008-01-19 Rates them:
I have nothing to add that has not already been said. It appears to be a company about to fold to me. It seems they are unable to get new releases in quantity if at all. As someone said earlier, go on the site and look at all the newer releases with no member ratings. Put that together with queues in the 40's and 50's with no games being sent out. Its too bad because I really liked the service when, I was happy with old games. But recently I get a beat up old game that does not work or my 6 out becomes 4 out while I wait.
Vaughn from Kansas on 2008-01-18 Rates them:
WOW! Am I glad to know that I'm not the only one getting ripped off by this company. I have gotten very few of anything I've had on the list whether game or movie. Then I ordered a game from them for my son for Christmas. When I asked how long for shipping they replied with up to a month. Then when I checked back a few days before the deadline my order was canceled without warning. When I contacted them they said they would refund my money in 3 to 4 weeks. Heck, I'm afraid to cancel my subscription before getting my money back. I'm beginning to think they are waiting to refund my money until some other fool orders something they don't have. They are rude and horrible on their customer service. Stay clear of this joke of a company.
JW from South Carolina on 2008-01-16 Rates them:
Finally! Something new on the website!

I checked the website this morning, and they have finally added some new releases to their site. (Doesn't mean that anything is availible though) I sent them an e-mail a couple of days ago and got the same response that you guys have seen from others on this review site.

"We are working right now to balance our inventory which should mean increased titles and faster shipping. We apologize for all delays and thank you for your business."

I ususally keep an eye on this site, because it seems to be the site to let people know what's going on. I hope we continue to keep each other posted. I signed up for the 6 out at a time yearly plan, and it is up in May. I was going to give them another 2 or 3 months to get it together before I moved on to other options.

Anybody out there have any newer 360 titles? I have Call of Duty 3 and Tiger woods 07 right now.

dont have anything new to add, just confirmation that this site is amazingly terrible. ive been a member since feb of 2007. back then they were getting complaints that you couldnt get the new movies or games. that didnt bother me as long as i got something, i was happy with even the older stuff. but since a few months ago it has never been the same. here are my number of movies/games out per month....march - 11, april - 8, may - 14, june - 7, july - 10, august - 6, september - 9, and now compare that to october - 3, november - 4, december - 2!!! that was the last chance, ive given up on them. i wonder what happened to them. are they just going under? are they not investing their profits into more inventory? likes others have said. dont be fooled by the cheap price. 13 dollars for two movies isnt cheap.
Nick from Columbus, OH on 2008-01-05 Rates them:
I have had Gameznflix since the beginning of November, and I only have a few complaints, mostly revolving around the website. I've noticed that the website problems are the worst on Firefox, so I switched to the IE tab to browse the site and had less problems.

As far as the rentals are concerned, I've only received one disc that was scratched too bad to play it... and it was Superman Returns so I didn't care too much.

The bottom line is this... if you're expecting to get all the new released games on next-gen consoles right away with super fast turnaround... think again. You won't get that with any online rental service. But if you're like me, and want to hit up games that I've missed that are 6 months or more old, this service won't disappoint. The distribution center nearest to me (in Kentucky or Tennessee... I'm not sure) seems to have pretty fast turnaround for games that are available. For example, I stuck 2 games in the mail this past Wednesday, and the next 2 games got shipped out on Friday and Saturday. I expect to receive them on Monday and Tuesday.

If you've got a backlog of older games you'd like to play, some patience, and $13 bucks a month, Gameznflix is a dream service.

If you want to rent new games quickly... go to Blockbuster. ;)
Fritz from Pennsylvania on 2007-12-31 Rates them:
I don't know what happened. This company now takes almost a month to send a new game after you return an old one. If you want a newly released game, forget it! If their customer service is saying that "if customer stop keeping the games for a long time then there won't be a wait" then they need to inrease their inventory of games bc other customers are also paying for the subscription! They need to solve this quick or they will lose alot of revenue.
Kerry from Florida on 2007-12-26 Rates them:
Consistently had problems with returned games. I would return games but my que would not reflect that they had been returned. I have had to call twice to get my que updated so they would send more games. It has happened again and now I am just going to cancel the account and sign up for Gamefly. Dont let the great monthly rate fool you. If they don't send the games its doesnt matter how cheap the price is.

Just like everyone before me I too was pleased with the service in the beginning. Ever since they changed the site I started to notice a decrease in the games shipped to me. At one point I was getting a new game every week. Now I'm lucky if I get 1 game in a month. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I returned the game and nothing. So basically it was like I was paying $12.99 just to have a list of games that I would someday like to play listed on their site. I would've been better off going to the local blockbuster.
Parsnipnose3000 from on 2007-12-12 Rates them:
It was great for the first year but my 6 out plan has just sat doing nothing since August despite having 50+ items in my queue. I cancelled a week or two ago and got my money back.

I have a suspicion they don't have all the games they say they have. For example, there are no reviews or user ratings for virtually all xbox360 games released after about June 2007. There are plenty of reviews for older titles. Add to that the fact that many users are reporting having been sent nothing since June/July this year despite having 40-50 items in their queue, unless they request very old titles, are we to assume those titles are not in their inventory at all?

Look at their site - no reviews for MotoGP 07 (released August 28), Nascar 08 (released July 24), Ratatouille (released June 26), and it is now December 12th. There are a couple of big titles they seem to have, such as Halo3 and Medal of Honor, but the vast majority - nothing. I looked through and found an enormous number of items which nobody appears to have been sent. I asked their customer service about this and they couldn't answer the question. It is mathematically impossible for nobody to review any of the titles released since June, when active users are still reviewing older titles.
Mike from San Diego on 2007-12-09 Rates them:
I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I, like many others, have been with GNF for a long time and have noticed the level of service going down over the last few months.

There was a time when I could return an item on Monday morning, have them show it as received on Tue/Wed, then receive a new item on Thur/Friday. I loved the service and was amazed at how quick they were.

Fast forward to my most recent experience. Mailed two games back on 11/30 and they still appear on their website as being out today 12/9. They have them, they just aren't saying so for some crazy reason.

Over time it seems to take longer and longer for the whole receive/return process and it's gotten ridiculous. It took about two weeks last time from the time I returned a game to the time I received a "new" one. I've got a 360 and a Wii so have 50 games in my queue and still had that long wait.

After reading everyones comments I suppose I should be happy I even had two out at once.

I'm giving them three stars because I actually had a response when I emailed them. They stated they were working on getting more inventory and credited me 2 weeks.

Horrible, I was with them a year ago and they where fine back then. Since I came back I have had "2" games shipped to me and since then NOTHING. It has been a month since any shipment. Also another thing they didn't recive on of the games.

GamezNflix gives you:

.Delete's the questions you have asked.
.Maximum of 2 games a month, which they don't say but seems like the case.
.Exteremly long ques.
.Bunch of "Sorry's" but no action.
.Great Horrible Service, with a crappy webpage.
Greg from Idaho on 2007-11-28 Rates them:
Me again, I posted two months ago, and things have not got better. I even talked to a supervisor and she said things were tough and they could not compete with the big wigs. I told her that they use to be much better and was told they were working on getting better inventory.

Well two months later, I have 28 items in my queue and only two items out (it actually says zero), both are old (aliens 3 and a xbox game). I have 15 xbox 360 games on my list, nearly all are 'long wait', but even those that are short wait (madden, medal of honor) have not shipped to me in two months. I have the 8 out at a time (old plan) so I always have plenty of space.

I dont plan on making my next payment, the only good thing I can think of is they extended my billing date, but that is just prolonging the inevitable. I'll be with them as long as they keep extending my billing, but I am not paying any more money for a service that does not work.

I followed the user belows suggestion and complained to her two points of contacts, hope something happens because they are just sucking money away with no service.
Andy from SC on 2007-11-28 Rates them:
I had used GNF months ago and had been pleased with the service. I stopped it due to lack of time and have since moved. I decided to give them another shot recently and was appalled at how bad things have become.

The website is just awful. The little pop-ups are confusing and often don't work. I ended up with a list full of games I didn't select. In addition, the site would not take my main debit/credit card.

I went through all the motions for a free trial (I figured why not get the two weeks free anyways) and found the trial had SEVERE limits on what you could queue up. The only games available on a trial account were old, things like sports games from 2006. I upgraded my account to 3 at a time to get to the real stuff, only to find that they did not stock some of the latest games. It looked like there is a two week delay on games, but it's not consistent. I also saw that none of the two dozen games I added to my queue were available.

But none of this matters to me because...I now don't have an account at all. That's right, I never got an account confirmation email, no charge to my card (so far), nothing. I can no longer log in to the website either. When a company has these kinds of problems, I take it as an omen to stay far, far away.
Trouble Right Now from New York on 2007-11-27 Rates them:
The reviews here paint an accurate picture of my experience. I was very happy with them the first 7 months. Shockingly cheap with good turn around, the price on 3-out makes this cheaper than buying games you know you're not going to keep forever. But they must be on last legs now or something, as in the past two months it's all changed. The one game I got in that time can be bought new for 20 bucks, meaning I'm operating at a loss. So before the next billing cycle came around I called them up, talked to them, didn't seem like things were about to change, and canceled. This forum seems a good place to check back from time to time, see if things have changed. Or it could be they're halfway out of business already and will fold soon, there's no other explanation for the bizzarre way in which things are run at this company. Truly baffling, and in a way interesting. I certainly don't recommend it for anyone considering joining right now.
Chris from Indianapolis on 2007-11-26 Rates them:
I am really disapointed in GnF's service. I had a concern about the funcionality of the website and the fact that I have never received a game from this year. I mentioned the fact that I was about to cancel and what do I get in response? A canned message saying that they apologize for any delays. That's it. Nothing more except a note on the bottom of their page saying that the problem was "solved". Cancelling membership and staying away until they learn what customer service is about. I suggest that anyone who is looking for a game service look elsewhere.
Tim from St. Louis on 2007-11-23 Rates them:
I have to agree with everyone else in here. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! I signed up about seven months ago with the 6 movies/games out at a time for 250.00 a year. It sounded like a great deal and I should of tried them for a month before paying all at once for a year membership. Now I can't get my money back! In the 7 months I've been with them, they have sent me about 15 movies or games! I have not received a single movie or game in over a month. I can't even get a hold of someone on the phone to discuss my problem. When you call, a computer tells you to email your complaint in! Then you get a cookie cutter answer back that doesn't help you at all. And if you want a new release (movie or game), be prepared to wait about 5-6 months to receive it. And if you get it that soon, consider yourself lucky. Never give them your business. This company sucks!

I've been member for about 1 year.

Boy, this used to be nice service. Not superb, not great, but at least nice. Over the winter and spring, after I returned an item, I usually got one back in about 7-10 days. That's not lightning fast, but for the price, you can't expect miracles.

Quite often I got something down the queue, and 80% of the time they picked some old movies instead of new games. But still, for the price, you can't expect too much.

I had it fine until about July 07. After that, there hasn't been too much shipping. I just wrote complaint for the customer service about them not shipping anything for several weeks.

I'd be surprised if I don't cancel my account by end of this year.

I'd be giving some 5-6 stars for the first 6 months, but last few months scale it down to 2.

GNF used to be alright about a year ago. At least they sent titles, even if they didn't ever have newer titles in stock around their release date. Now they're to the point of having a decent sized que and maybe getting 1 game a month at the most...and to top it off it's not even the games I care much about. I just switched to Gamefly this past week and when I filled out my que I got my #1 and #2 games sent to me the very next day(Bioshock/Darkness). I've only been with them for about a week now but I can already tell they're far superior to Gameznflix....you'll get what you want there. The extra $6 and 1 game less out at a time is well worth it to get the titles you actually want. Anyways, I'd highly recommend staying away from GNF...they're horrible and from the sounds of it will likely be bankrupt before long.

I have been with Gameznflix for over two years. I signed up for the 8 out at a time plan that they used to have, because it was a ridiculous deal. While the service has been spotty the entire time I've been with them, I was able to overlook it due to how cheap the service was. However, since about May, it's been getting progressively worse. I haven't had my full allotment of games out for about four months, and I'm lucky if I get a game shipped to me a month. I have contacted "customer service" many times and I've either been ignored or told that there was nothing they could do about it. I have about 30+ items in my queue, including newer games that never seem to release, and yet they rarely ship anything to me. It's almost like they're not even monitoring their site at all...

While the price is favorable compared to other sites, it's useless if you're not games. I'll put it this way, my plan works out to about $15/month for 8 games/movies out at a time, and I'm considering canceling, there's a very good chance that $16.99/3 won't be worth it for you. This is w/o a doubt one of the worst companies I've dealt with in recent memory...

Gameznflix is a disaster. Their website is utter crap. I mean in this day and age how can you have a crap website that doesn't function well with all the resources we have on the internet today.

What do I mean by crap, well for one they have nonfunctional page links, crapy page layout and queue system, multiple attempts to login even though password and username is correct.

Customer service is atrocious. Their customer service immediately tries to bark at you at any hint of you complaining to them about games not being available.

I tried the 3 out plan for $17 bucks or so. I had the service for 4 months, and in 4 months I have received 1 game I wanted to play and 1 game I didn't. The rest of the games are just sitting there in my queue just staring at me.

95% of the games (PS3 & Xbox360) are either not available or has a low availability rating. Therefore, putting them in your queue is a waste of your time. Even the games that where marked available and short wait never ended up shipping.

Unfortunatly, I'm going to have to rate this company as poor for a gaming rental site. I have a Wii and DVD player which made me think... MAN! This is a great deal. So I did the trial, And got movies and the one Wii game they allow you to try (Meet the Robinsons), and it was great. Delivery time wasn't too bad, and they marked it recieved a day or two after I put it in the mail. But here's the bad! After the trial, I filled up my queue with Wii games (like i see other users did), and put some older semi-interesting movies at the bottom of my queue. I've only been a memeber for half-a-month, but they've only been shipping me movies. I want my games!!! So I'm going to have to rate this a 1, because, I'm a dissatisfied customer. Take some marketing classes GAMEZNFLIX!!!! Good Business = Satisfied Customers!

I've been with the company almost one month and it will probably the last month. As most reviews have noted, you don't get any game that is remotely popular. I might be able to live with that, but the games that I have received were in poor condition. I managed to get completly through one of the games by reloading the disk over and over until it read one level. Unreadable disc errors and levels just stopping destroyed the fun. The second game I wasn't even able to get through the first level. Same problem. My system is good though since all of my purchased games work find. Ever since I sent an email to complain, my returned games have not been marked as received. Could be the Postal Service lost them, but I just don't know. I guess it's time to try another service.

So I have about 30 items on my que and all are green but i assume unavaliable. I rented some crappy movies just to feel I was getting some actual use out of this service since I have the 3 out plan and havent gotten any of the 10 xbox360 games on my que. Got some lame anime, returned it 2 weeks ago and they still havent marked it as received. I also have 2 movies as being sent or "out" but its been a week since I got the e-mail notification and they havent arrived. Im just kind of scared by how GameznFlix is doing right now. Last thing I need is for them to tell me all 3 movies are now lost and I have to pay for them.

Worst service ever and Im stuck with them until Aug 08. Has anyone ever gotten a refund??

I paid for their prepaid 3 months on a 3 out plan, the reason i prepaid is they send you $25.00 gift card to shell after you 3 months, the problem is i have only gotten 1 game in 1 month on 3 out plan, my que is over 30 games. it takes about 10 days from the day they ship your game to get to your home. The customer service # tells you to hit ext:1 and then the recording tells you to write them an email. my recomendation = stay away

Try Gameznflix!... if you only care about old movies that were popular years ago.

First, let me say that I am very disappointed with the service GnF offers. I got a discount on the 3 out plan, got 30 days free for complaining, and I still feel ripped off.

I always have quite a large que of dvds/hddvds/360 games. Unfortunately, I've only received about 6 dvds/games over about 5 months - usually things at the end of my que that I didn't really care about.
When a new game comes out, GnF either has hardly any available, or they don't even have it (Bioshock hello??). Here's the real problem though, even when the availability on something in your que is almost full, you still won't ever get it!
Customer service told me that any game on short wait should be shipped out within 14 days.... The Darkness has been in my que since day 1 and I still haven't got it despite it's "short wait" status.
Also, movies that aren't even new releases, just a month or 2 old, their availability never goes up! They're horrible about adding new movies too, did the first Fantastic 4 just come out? No the sequal is about to be released, so why is the first one just now on the "ready to ship" list?

If a game is "on order" good luck ever getting it! They told me if something is on order for 60 days, they probably won't get it. They need enough people to add it to their que before they order it.

Overall, horrible, horrible service. You will not save money at all because you won't get the items you want. The only thing good about GnF was the shipping, which was fairly quick.
Stay far, far away!!!

DO NOT USE!!!!

As others have said, their service has taken a nose-dive. Here are a couple of good examples.
1) the week Bioshock came out, I sent them email to see why they hadn't stocked the title. After the third email,
they told me that 'they stocked titles when they became available'. WTF - Bioshock was everywhere and one of the best rated games (recently). Poor poor customer service
2) after sending back my two games in MID August - and it was MID September, I sent them an email saying 'why haven't I gotten anything' - they said I should build my queue to 15 titles so that this wouldn't happen (me not having any games for over a month). So I am supposed to rent games I don't want???

STAY FAR FAR AWAY - they used to be good, but now are horrible, I wonder if they are going to file for Chapeter 11.....

AGAIN FAR FAR AWAY

Currently, I would have to give this company a rating of POOR. 6 months or so ago I would have gave high marks. I really don't want to and have in the past really like this company. I have been with them for several years now and have been through the ups and the downs, but this last 4-5 months have been a real low. I have some things on my queue that have been there for over a year, and I dont have confidence that I will ever have them.

Usually when the state of available says short wait (almost full hand now) you would get it within a week. I have many of the most popular games for the XBOX 360 on my list: Madden, Bioshock (removed), Two Worlds (removed, purchased), Stranglehold, Medal Of Honor, Call of Juarez. Most of these show low availability as soon as they were released (bioshock, medal honor, two worlds, stranglehold) which does not make sense, these are huge titles. Other like Madden are on the short wait, but I have not had it shipped since it was out (over a month now).

I really would like this to turn around. I still have the old plan of 8 out at a time, but it does not do me much good if I cant get what I want, especially games.

Heres hoping for a turn around.

GamezNFlix has been a horrible company to deal with.I just quit. I really tried to give them a chance, but it kept getting worse and worse. Over the last month they sent me only one title even though I have the two out at a time plan. I called customer service six times and they always say the same thing. "We are very short on popular products right now" As a company they are currently struggling and have not made any profit goals. To get on the right track they decided to stop ordering lots of movies and focus on games. However they have not been able to keep games in stock either. So now they dont have a good supply of new game OR movie releases. GamezNFlix is cheap compared to other companies and I would say "you get what you pay for," but I wouldnt even say that because they just dont send you anything and then always have lots of excuses.

Bottom line. You will not beable to get Wii, PS3 or any new XBox 360 games. You will also not be able to get any new movie releases. If you want any of these things DONT GET THIS SERVICE.

I'm giving the rating a 5 because while I've been getting a great value for the money up to now, I'm starting to wonder what's going on with this company. They just re-did their website. The only thing is, it's NOT FUNCTIONING. When searching for items, you better hope it's in the first page because as of right now, and for the past 2 weeks, you can't click on any of the additional page links.
I've been VERY pleased with this service up until the last month or so. I have not had any issues with having to wait especially long for things once they ship out. I work in Direct Mail, so I know sometimes things just don't go as quickly as others with the Post Office.

If they don't get the website resolved in the next week or so, I will have to look at other alternatives. And this irritates me as they are the only service that allows both games and movies on the same plan for the same price.

Hopefully they can get their act together and soon.

I've had about 50 games in my queue for a few months now, about 10 of which show good availability. I will frequently go over a week with only 1 game out (sometimes with none) just waiting for them to ship an available game.
I'm guessing they're going to go out of business soon.

Good for about 3 weeks then you will notice games take longer to be received in and take longer to be shipped out. I have waited over a month with a full query and have got nothing and have nothing shipped. YOu cant search anything on the site because they only bring up a few item at a time and try to search DVD's all day long??? They only carry about 10 percent of the WII,360,PS3 titles even though they have more pictures of games than they actually carry. I called customer service and asked about why I dont have any games shipped let alone the 3 out plan; response was from Samantha, "One time you had 3 games out". if that tells you anything. They are also dropping inventories? They also dont carry any big Titles like 'Bioshock or Warhawk, etc.

I signed up for the six out at a time and am usually have at least 4 or more out at a time. I have received over 70 movies and games since February but sometimes it takes forever for them to sned you things in your queue. I also noticed how long it takes them to get in new releases of movies and games. The newest movie I can find is 300 which came out over 4 weeks ago and some big names movies they never even get in to add to your queue. Newer games are usually the same they receive them weeks after their release date and then the status show that you will have along wait which usually comes to a month. They need to spend more money on new releases and can the old movies that most people could care less about. By doing this they could increase their overall members and their overall profit because the idea of being able to rent both movies and games is great.

I've been with Gameznflix for 5 months now. I signed up for the service because I wanted games for my Xbox 360, but also wanted the chance to get movies.

Before I rant, let me say two positives things. 1. You can't beat their prices. 2. They are fast!! Even for living in Montana, my turnaround time is quick.

That being side, neither matter to me if I can't get the items I want. They must have terrible inventory people, because every game I put on my queue is passed over because they don't have enough in stock. The last time, it skipped all the way to the 10th item in my queue. 10th!!! I asked a friend on Netflix if his top item at ever been passed over because there wasn't enough available. He told me he could remember once in his time of service.

The sad thing is, I was happy when I could get something on my queue. Almost every new release, whether it is a video game or a movie, is put "on order." Of those items, almost none get put into your queue.

They also almost NEVER update their website. Their "coming soon" titles for 360 games has been the same for about a month now. One of the most anticipated games of the year, BioShock, comes out in 3 days. They don't have it listed on their website. Nor do they have Tiger Woods 08 up there. It is just ridiculous.

If you are considering joining GamezNFlix, don't. I read reviews like this, but the company convinced me that they were getting better. They haven't. In fact, they have only gotten worse.

You should only get GamezNFlix if you interested in a limited selection of games and movies that are a year or two old, because they don't seem to buy new releases, and if they do, they buy them in such limited quantities that you'll get them.

I received a subscription to GameznFlix for Christmas '06. At first everything was fine. But then my queue filled up and I kept getting movies low on my list. I expected them to send the items in order. Eventually I realized that they were only sending me movies and had discontinued sending Wii games. After a while I got tired of hoping they'd follow through on their word and I discontinued the account. After having the service for four months I received three games and about eight movies. Hardly worth the money, even though the first three months were a gift. Now I'm back to buying only the A-list titles. Renting a B or C title at $8 a pop isn't worth $8.

I have 35 items in my queues (took me hours to pick the titles) that are all in VERY LONG WAIT status :( and about 20 on orders from 8 months ago!! Maybe because i'm renting only PS2 games (used to rent psp too until they discontinued it :( ) I guess gameznflix is trying to do so much at once.... like the saying of a guy chasing after two hares will catch none!! so i decided to cancel my membership today since i'm not going to pay $17 a month just to wait!
