TigerCinema Review

TigerCinema is a rental service that focusses on Asian movies, with Japanese, Korean and Chinese taking precedence. The site is attractively and well thought out. The star profiles are a good way of tracking down other films particular actors in, and with user ratings for movies, this helps too. In addition to the normal dvd rental, a streaming service of films is available.

For new users, a 10-day trial is on offer for the 1-movie out at a time plan. The typical plan of 3-movies out (up to max 20 a month) is set at a good price of $21.99. Other plans are of interest for those who enjoy renting tv series.

Had a 10 day "free" trial and then paid for one month. Because of an oversea employment I had to cancel soon and my last dvds arrived back at their location after 30 days. They charged me for two months, even though my first month was not even over (30 days minus the 10 trial days) But even if i wouldn't have had the trial, it still would be just 30 days.
I tried many times to to contact them but they keep igniring me and they keep my money. I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau now.
Be aware.

I joined for their free trial service and maybe 1 month's membership a couple of years ago. I think I was a day late in cancelling my plan so they charged me. well, for that i emailed them that if they were going to charge me i wanted to keep my membership for that month that i was charged. never heard back from them. i stayed away from them after that and have never considered them again. ehit.com and cinflix.com is better, but they each have some issues, too.

I've canceled my subscription with Tiger Cinema in August 2007 and as of now (December 2007) still get charged on my credit card. However, convienent for them, they no longer consider my account as active and stopped sending out DVDs to me.

I've been trying to get a hold of these guys via email but they have never replied back. My credit card company gave me a phone number listed in their records however it is a wrong number.

Been with Tiger for over a year and am very satisfied with their service. Since I live in California and they are based in San Jose, Calif it takes two days to get a movie after they ship. Excellent customer service with prompt email response. They have a large selection of Asian movies and dramas. They have a fast return screen where you can notify them that your movie has been returned which I found helpful. I would quit only if they run out of movies.
